CASELAW THRUSDAYS

Case Law Thursdays is a signature VISN-AUS program designed to keep Acquisition Utilization Specialist (AUS) certification holders informed, engaged, and ahead of the curve on federal contracting legal matters. Each session features presentations by law student–lawyers and law students who deliver concise, practical legal briefs on significant federal contracting case law.

The program provides AUS professionals with:

• Real-World Legal Context – Understanding how case law shapes acquisition decision-making 
• Applied Learning – Translating legal rulings into actionable acquisition practices 
• Interactive Engagement – Opportunities to discuss, question, and analyze contracting case outcomes 
• Professional Enrichment – Ongoing development that strengthens both technical and professional competencies
• Applicable Subjects - In most cases each lesson will be subject to the Department of Veteran Administration, depending on the need, severity or statutory impact other agency cases maybe used
